30 Rock 11/16/06 "Jack-tor" Spoilers

Some program guides may not have listed the right title.

But I found this episode incredibly funny. I couldn't control my laughing at the out-takes real from Jack's promotional video.

You know this is still 2006, right?

Alec Baldwin is really really good in this show. The outtakes scene was hilarious. I loved Tina Fey's commercial intro and the end of the scene too!

Is it just me, or is this show getting really, really funny?

The Snapple stuff just cracked. Me. Up.

This show should exclusively be about tina fey, alec baldwin, and tracy morgan. I don't really seem to care or enjoy the scenes with others. But I do really enjoy the ones with them. They really need to stop dressing up tina fey in hot outfits if they want to keep the believability of "she's a tomboy who's unattractive" stuff going.

I liked the bumper NBC ran on the "anti-laugh-track" subject during the credits too.

I did like the Jenna "using her sexuality" subplot though - the non primary characters are warming on me.

As much as I have like Jane Krakowski (?) on other shows she needs to go or be used as scenery.

I thought all the NBC comedies were especially funny last night . . . but that video of Jack's outtakes was the single funniest scene. I had to stop TiVo a few times and hit the instant replay because I was laughing so hard. Hilarious.

And the Snapple product placement was genius! Best product placement EVER.

I have been on the fence with this show up until now but after last night, I am definitely keeping the SP. Best episode yet. Alec Baldwin makes the show.

Was any of that usable?
There's a pigeon in my eyeline. Shoo, pigeon!

Not just you! This show finally lived up to all the critical praise with this episode. Absolutely hilarious from start to finish.

I really couldn't believe how funny Baldwin was in this show. I guess I should have expected it because he's usually really good on SNL... but really what a coup this show is for him.

Plus, Tina Fey is finally beginning to settle down a bit: her acting was pretty stilted in the first few episodes.

The whole "white guilt" ("it should only be used for good!") plotline was hilarious as well. I also enjoyed all the announcements in the background for various people to report for "Muffin Top" rehearsal throughout the show... "Yo-Yo Ma, please report to the stage for Muffin Top!" Then they don't show it at all. Predictable, but still funny!

They did show muffin top... I don't recall yo-yo ma there though, if that's what you mean.

That was the funniest line. I love Yo Yo Ma. And his name is just FUNNY.

Agreed - this was a very funny episode. Alec Baldwin is pure comedy gold in this role - he just abolutely chews up and spits out every scene he is in. His outtakes were great. And Tina Fey is getting better - sometimes I watch her and forget she's not an actress (not often, but it's getting a bit more frequent). And the Snapple product placement was awesome - just when you thought it was over, a guy in a giant Snapple bottle steps off the elevator.

Alec Baldwin deserves an Emmy nomination just for the outtakes scene alone. It's really hard to get that sort of comedy right.

The Snapple thing was kinda borrowed from Arrested Developmen'ts Burger King thing, but it was still pretty funny.

I liked Jane Krakowski okay on Ally McBeal, but never realized just how talented she was until the musical number she did toward the end of that series. She is flat out amazing. I'd like to see more of her in this show.

But as it is, the show is getting funnier. I hope it stays around. It's still not "The Office" funny, but it's getting better. Tracy Morgan however, I have never found funny, and he has alot of work ahead of him if he's to convince me he is.

Which was also sorta like my favorite scene in Wayne's World.

Making fun of product placement was especially amusing considering the blatant, but earnest, product placement that had happened on 'The Office' just before.

Jack not knowing what to do with his arms cracked me up. I did some acting in High School and college and early on one of my biggest problems was being overly conscious of my arms and not being comfortable just letting them hang at my sides.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I know we saw it. I mean, they cut that off of TGS; they had already signed off when she did her number, after all that practice.
