Harddrive replacement problem

Was wondering if someone could help me with this.

I'm replacing a HD in a Hughes 35hr HDVR2 DirecTiVo. Original drive is a 40GB new drive is a 160GB. I'm using the MFSTools 2.0.

I cabled up the drives new drive /dev/hda the original drive /dev/hdc and ran the following command:
#mfsbackup -aqo - /dev/hdc | mfsrestore - s 127 -xpi - /dev/hda

Everything seemed to run fine copied all the blocks copied without error. I put the drive back in the tivo and it booted fine. The problem came in when I tried to add a todo item. The tivo box gave me an error. I tried to run the remove all recordings and todos. The problem still exists ... it appears that i can't record anything.

Any suggestions on what i did wrong?

Try this command:
mfsbackup -Tao - /dev/hdc | mfsrestore - s 127 -xzpi - /dev/hda

This is what most people use.

I assume that you are copying a drive that came out of the same TiVo that the new drive is going into. If not, you will need to do a "Clear and Delete Everything" to resolve the error 51.
