Which "Heroes" Power would you like most/least? *SPOILERS*
Some of the Heroes threads have touched on this question.
For me, Hiro's ability to move forward and backward in time and space would be the most fun. I have often wished for an 8-second rewind in my life. This is unlimited control - with the ability to change the past and future. BEAUTIFUL.
Right now, Peter Petrelli seems to just have leeching power, so that isn't all that appealing.
But the one I'd want LEAST would be the mindreading ability of the cop. My self-esteem would be nonexistant if every unkind thought someone had about me were immediately deposited in my brain.
Of course, it would keep me from gaining weight.

peters power would be cool cause you could borrow the powers of others. but you could only use it when someone else is around.

Hiro's ability has rather unlimited possibilities, so I suspect there's some significant limitations to it that we haven't seen; in fact he himself hinted at them once already. Given sufficient numbers of people with abilities, Peter's probably got the best of them, since he only needs to be around another to make use of their ability. Of course, alone, he's also got nothing.

1. I wouldn't want the mindreading power either. It would make me incredibly insecure and crazy!
2. I don't think I'd want to heal spontaneously either. That could be a little freaky. Useful yes, but freaky.
3. Wouldn't care much about flying...
4. Don't do drugs, so being able to paint the future only when hopped up on them would be out.
5. Schizophrenia...no thank you.
6. Adopting others' powers. So far not something overly useful, but eventually will probably be very handy.
7. Yep, I'd also have to go with Hiro's power of bending time. Especially after seeing him in Vegas. ;0)

I like Claire's power honestly. Of all of them, this is the one I would want the most. 2nd most would be Hiro's power.
I don't think I could take the mind reading power, would make me nutso if I knew every bad thing someone might think about me. I'd probably keep myself locked up in my house all the time and never see other people!!

Being a materialistic jerk, I could see gaining the most financially through Hiro's powers. So that's the one I would go with. None of the others would really allow to win the lottery, steal from casino's, etc. Although, DLs camoflauge seems quite interesting, but I'm no creepy Clay Aiken, so I'll stick to freezing time.

I agree that's the worst. I'd almost call it a handicap rather than a power, but you can't go that far as it does have constructive uses.
What I would worry about even more is how people would react if they knew I could read their thoughts. I'm fully expecting his wife to up and leave him once she finds out he can read hers (and he's being so blatant about it you know she'll find out.) I think it would be a real creepy feeling to know someone can get inside your mind.

Although I am torn by the choices of the best power, I am decided that Issacs "power" is by far the one I would least like to have. Not to mention he has to shoot up in order to possess it.

But does he really, or has he just convinced himself that he has to? In the last ep, Peter used Isaac's power without either of them shooting up.
Anyway, another vote for Hiro's, although I also wouldn't mind Claire's.

But if you actually HAD the mind reading power, how long would people continue to think bad things about you? As we saw in the last episode, knowing what people think / want makes it VERY easy to please them.

1. Hiro's - If nothing else, the ability to stop time to act on something would be great.
2. Cop's mind reading - You could anticipate actions. Just got to be able to control the input and not freak out.
3. Flying... Flying is always cool, just hard to do it steathy..
4. Leech - requires you be on a team or against other powerful guys.
5. Healing would let you survive. Maybe a new kind of fighting style where you don't care what happens to your body lets you tear others up.

Just a note about everyone saying you have to shoot up for Isaac's power: Peter didn't have to be on drugs to access it. I assume it's Isaac's way of compensating for having this ability, not a necessary trigger.
Of course Hiro is the power to have. There are a million ways to cheat with it; poker is actually inefficient IMO.

Probably either teleportation or flight. I think the telepathy would be interesting too but that kind of mental control you need to keep the voices out and keep from going crazy would be tough to master.
Definitly don't want the doppleganger ability. I prefer to be in control of my actions.

If I could control it, then I wouldn't mind the cop's powers. Like most, I wouldn't want to hear everything anyone thought about me but the cop is probably more powerful and can use his talent in other ways that hasn't been touched on yet. Maybe "nudging" people using a Jedi mind trick.

Hiro's power would be the most desirable IMHO.
The LEAST appealing is the ability to paint the future, but only when high on Herion. No thanks.
Of the remaining powers, in order:
Healing
Flying
Walking through walls
Leeching others Powers
Mindreading
No powers at all
Split Personality disorder
I wouldn't mind the mindreading so much. I would, however, use that power to PROPERLY cheat at poker.

I'd have to agree that Hiro's would be the one to have. I'd definitely use them for personal gain. Starting with:
1) Lottery (no small jackpots for me. Nothing less than $200 mil)
2) Sports betting
3) Just about any dealer game in Vegas (just because I'd need something to do after winning the lottery.)

I would take Hiro's power even with limitations. Heck, I would take just the time stopping aspect and give up the telporting bit. Even if the time stopping only lasted, say, 24 hours or so, and that was it, then I would do the time stopping. (But Hiro was stupid at the poker table. Instead of switching the hands, which would be obvious to the guy he took the cards from, he should have just stopped time, looked at the other players cards, and then told his friend whether or not to fold.)
Claire's powers would be cool too. I think that as soon as I realized that I was nearly invulnerable, I'd reallize that I could do almost anything and not have to worry about dying in a lot of ways. Sure opens up a lot of posibilities, and ways to make money. Firefighter, cop, daredevil, bankrobber etc???
