Connection help needed

I have finally gotten the TiVo (series 2 DT) hooked up to my plasma tv and digital cable (comcast). All is working fine and I'm psyched.

I'd like to add a VCR (my kids use it to watch old Thomas the Tank Engine videos, etc.) and a DVD player. Don't need to wire the DVD to TiVo to record or anything, just want the option to watch movies on it.

Could someone give me a basic set up idea?

Does the plasma TV have multiple inputs?

You can connect the VCR and DVD each to a different set of inputs on the plasma TV.

The simplest approach does not involve the TiVo. The VCR connects to an available input on the TV (usually newer TVs have several inputs.)

The only thing you might do with the TiVo is connect a set of red/white/yellow cables from one of the TiVo outputs to the line in on the VCR, which would allow you to "save to VCR" from the TiVo.

Resist any urge to "daisy-chain" devices so that you watch one "through" the other.
