Rosie O'Donnell, dear God, no!

And the character proved to be such a hit with fans, producers approached her about starring in her own show. In the "Ask Ro" section of her internet blog, she is asked the question, "Is it true ur in talks for a spinoff series starring as Dawn Budge?" O'Donnell posted the message, "Talks r over. I said yes." The new series will reportedly be shot in New York City, so O'Donnell can also continue her hosting duties on US chat show The View.
I wasn't aware she was popular in that role. Just so long as we don't have to watch Rosie have sex every week, I suppose I could stomach it.

They already did this series. It was the last season of Roseann.

That's fine. Just another series that I would not have time to watch. This way I don't have to feel like I'm missing anything.

Given what happened in the last episode of Nip/Tuck...
Spoiler:
Since she gave her kidney to Liz, and she seems to be getting closer to Liz (either as a friend or more), I wonder whether Dawn and Liz would go off together to New York.

I'm more bummed to see her using leet speak.

I'm not buying it until it's confirmed. Either way, I won't be watching it.

You need to be a star to do this?

It'll probably just be a typical 7 episode FX comedy ("Starved", "Always Sunny in Philly") that nobody will watch. And it will fade away like "Starved" did, but not before FX annoys us to death with promo bugs for it in the corners of all their *good* shows.

I had not idea that such a large percentage of Nip/Tuck fans were made up of anti-gun lesbians.

It reminds me of an article I read about Studio 60 after the 2nd week it aired. It said something like, "The viewership has been on a steady decline this season." Two episodes is a steady decline?

Welcome to 2006.

I'll just sit patiently and wait for people's fascination (or perhaps the media's fascination) with Rosie to finally end. Please, God, let it be soon.

I have found the episodes with Rosie watchable but can't imagine her own show with that character - what a waste of time

Unbelievable that anyone would want to watch her or listen to her. I hope this is canceled before The Shield comes on again. I don't want to see Rosie on my Tivo, even if I'm just fast-forwarding by a promo for her lame show while watching The Shield.

You know, just because they've asked her to DO the show, that doesn't actually mean anyone's going to AIR it.

(Or that anyone has to WATCH it.)

If you wish to communicate effectively on the internet, you don't need to be able to spell perfectly, but it is essential that you form coherent sentences. If you want thoughtful responses to your post, the least you could do is put more thought into how you convey your own message. Cheers!

Yeah but your grammar does not need to be 100% proper for people to understand you. People are flexible that way.

As for Rosie, I have only seen the first of her two episodes on Nip/Tuck. Amusing enough, nothing earth shattering, and I am not some kind of huge Rosie Fan. I don't really see the spin-off in it, but then again, most spin-offs rarely make sense.
