Hi,
just moved to a new location in North Carolina. First time I have had cable anywhere in the country without a cable box. Need ideas on how to connect/use the Tivo unit especially how to change channels and select channel for recording. Thanks

...When set up this way, will the TiVo show ALL the channels that a cable box would, or only the 1-99 channels??? I am getting ready to return my cable DVR boxes, and would like to know if I need to replace them with regular set-top boxes to access the higher channels (movies, sports, etc).

If you don't have a cable box, it isn't POSSIBLE to get channels above 99.
Even a TV couldn't do it.
I suppose of you had an HD tuner and digital cable, you could get SOME digital channels (because they're sent over the cable in a way where they can be decoded by newer Over-The-Air HD tuners).

...Yeah, that's what I thought... So I guess I'll have to bring back a STB from the cable company for each TiVo if I wanna keep on watching the movie channels, etc...
Darn! I was startin' to think I could get RID of the extra clutter from them!
