The Unit 10/17/2006 (S02E05) "Force Majeure"
As soon as the dictator's guards were caught trying to kill 2 other patients, the dictator would've been history, as far as I'm concerned.
Back in the season premiere they were all stuck on not running operations in the US because of, you know, U.S. law. Now it seems they're conveniently ignoring that whole ordeal repeatedly.
I also don't really like the whole premise of the episode... but whatever. It was otherwise exciting enough to not care about details like that.

I didnt like the katrina esque stuff. I guess they were trying to show us parallels but still...not as good as on foreign soil stuff. though it does make me wonder what became of the cases here regarding leaving patients etc.
When is the one guy coming back into the field? All he does is dress up like a girl now.
so I wonder if Mr Allstate will continue to be pissed at his comrade for lying? Can he trust him now?
Why was the old man trying to swim out? Certainly not to have a smoke. And how would the cig have survived the swim to the airpocket?

The rule of 'no US military operations on US Soil' pertains to 'normal' US forces .. The members of the unit clearly operate outside of the normal rules .. and really don't exist.
This is why in the pilot, jonas bsically ignored the FBI...

Obviuosly Jonas and Togar had some prior dealings. Once his two goons tried to take out the other patients, that would have been it for me as well.
The Marine went back for his knife according to one of the old ladies. Instead he had a smoke on top of the locker.
+1 on Mack's return to the team.
Molly is getting in deeper with Blackthorne.

My tivo cut out with 5 minutes left. The last thing I saw was "he's gone, dead" as they boarded the helicopter without the general. My wife & I figured they would cut back to the general, still alive & suffering/drowning/etc. Did anything like that happen after everyone boarded the copter, or did the episode just end?

He came out of the door dressed in his uniform, stared at the helicopter that had just taken off, and shortly afterwards collapsed out on the landing area in the rain, apparently having had a heart attack. We only saw a couple of the Unit members witness it through the helicopters windows.

more signifigant is Jonas & "Agent Black" looking at "Agent white" disaspointed... because he outright lied to the team leader.
I got the impression Joans was the one that pulled the general out of his home to take him to america in the first place...

i guess asking 'is he dead...are you SURE?' was our hint that something indeed was amiss. He could say he saw him not moving and assumed he was dead 'legitimately', but when asked are you sure....well...hard to lie about that.

The unit member was also a medic, so he wouldn't have assumed anything. He told Jonas that he crashed and he was gone...
I don't think Jonas is going to lose that much sleep over this issue.
Did anyone notice that Jeremy stated that working in Iraq would help him with unit selection in 2 years?

How is Jeremy getting this time off? He is out of the military now right, but still living on base?
I would think he would need to remain a little more active then just walking in off the street to be in the unit... there has to be SOME previous training that is useful..

I don't think Jeremny and River are living on base. Did you see what they were living in?

Wasn't this an earlier episode... I seem to remember them grabbing some dictator up in Africa. Of course it might be another show, or a book.

The actor is only listed as having been in this one episode and the full series cast list doesn't show the name Togar.

I emailed that to one of my friends as soon as I saw her. He doesn't watch the show but LOVES Firefly/Serenity!
