Queston about switching my Tivo..

I recently got a new 80 hour Dual Tuner Series2 Tivo and want to replace my older 40 hour Series2 Tivo. Is it ok to switch them in my account and sell the old one?

If the DT has a rebate offer you need to start a new subscription, you can't transfer an existing subscription to it. Nor can you remove the 40hour tivo from it's subscription if you are still under a 12 month service agreement.

So if you bought The tivo at Circuis City and won't be getting a rebate and the other tivo has been subscribed by you for more than 12 months - Yes, you can simply have the subscription transfered w/o having to agree to 12 months of service. What you do with the old one is entirely your own business.
