Possible fix for audio dropouts

About a year ago, I purchased a second HR10-250 for the bedroom. Being a creature of habit, I watched the same channel every night prior to going to sleep. After a short while I was getting audio dropouts. They started happening every 5 - 10 minutes. I took the unit back to BB, but the new one did the same thing.

I did not have the same problem on the unit in the great room. Then I realized I was constantly changing the channels on both tuners in the great room and never changing the channels on the unit in the bedroom. So I started changing the channels on both tuners in the bedroom each night to flush the buffers. The audio dropouts went away.

I know there are other causes of audio dropouts unrelated to the above. For several months I got them when I recorded OTA FOX programs and watched the playback, but the same programs do not have dropouts when watched live from the TiVo. I now record FOX from the NY feed with no problems.

I hope this helps.
