DVD Recorder in line with HR10-250

Dear forum members,

I seek your assistance in determining if it is possible to put a dvd recorder in line between one of my HR10-250 DVRs and my TV. I recently tried a Phillips and a Toshiba to no avail. It seems that the output from the HR10-250 was scrambled or distorted as it arrived to the DVD recorder. Both DVD Recorders I tried didn't appear to have an a/v input and were expecting either OTA or CABLE as the source (where I want the source to be the composite out of the HR10-250).

Any suggestions/advice is welcome.

This may be completley wrong, but you do have the output resolution on the HR10-250 at 480i don't you? I have a Panny DVD Recorder "in line" between my HR10-250 and my Tosh RPTV.

If the output is 480p or higher, I get a blue screen only displayed on the monitor.

That is it! I totally forgot about the fact I had it at 720P. I recall doing that last year with something else (my slingbox) and didn't recall the lesson. Thanks for the tip.
