DIRECTV Adds New Movie News-Themed Channel, Reelz

I can't even seem to get it to pull up when I type in channel 225. I think that's because their website states they won't launch until the 27th...

I do enjoy movie news and perhaps the channel can eventually become what E! used to be back when Steve Kmetko was an anchor. Now E! has become the we love paparazzi and American Idol channel.

But I digress.

Here's a news article on Reelz. Yes I know this is from June but info on the new channel is scant at best presently.

With the bandwidth crunch that directv is under, why are they adding channels like this? They can't even keep all of their HD channels going on Sundays during NFL season. I'd rather have them add the remaining HBO's instead of something like this that doesn't have much real content.

I don't know - Adding more Shopping, Religious, or PPV channels as usual seems worse to me.
