I've been angry and have been posting negatively the past few days but I'm better now. I would however like to say well done to Comcast who have seriously gone up in my estimation.

I had a call from Todd at Comcast yesterday leaving a message to call him with regard to my Saturday installation. I called back today expecting a "We can't make it" or "Cablecards only in TV's" or some such but no.....

Todd is in charge of cablecards in this area and he had noticed this installation and that it was an S3. Seeing as this was new (the first they have done) he wanted to know if he I would mind if they could use this as a learning exercise. He's going to have supervisors aware and available and he himself will be available. They want to learn how to do it for themselves for the next time.

....and he doesn't want to charge me for the instal.

I'm in PA and not getting charged for the install, either.

What are you being charged for the cards?

Ditto here on being in PA and no truck-roll charge.

First card free with Digital Service.

I'm not sure of the extra outlet fee for the second card. I was talking with the Governement Affairs rep and she wasn't really sure. I think I sold them on the 'this is just like a 6412 argument' but won't know for sure until Saturday.

You must be in a different part of PA then me...I was told (by comcast) $8.90 per month for the "second outlet" and was not even given an amount for the install (and whatever it is will probably be doubled because of the second card)

Does this Todd fellow happen to work in the Harrisburg market? I'm guessing no, but I can hope.

Nothing for the cards. I am getting charged $7.95 for an additional outlet but that is fine because this is a completely separate install, new outlet, new TV, New TiVo.

I happy for you that you are getting your unit installed Saturday. I had hoped to purchase one this week and get the cable cards installed. But, alas I am waiting to hear from Comcast/Time Warner (caught up in the change over) on if they support cable cards for Tivo. So far their response has been they only have them for TVs.
