I have tivo hd directv unit hr-250. I get alot of pixelation only on hd channels.
Checked signal strengh and on I belive sat 119(has 3 transponders) I get 90 signal on all three transponders but signal dropps and returns 2 seconds later
How long have you had the unit? Are there trees in the line of sight of the dish? If you have had the unit a while, was it always like this or did it just start?
I had terrible pixelation on ESPNHD, UHD, & TNT-HD. All other HD channels look great. I had to unplug mine for a while and now everything seems fine (knocking on wood). Try that...

I bought the unit September 04 dish is on roof no trees. Never had pix problem or sat signal drop on any other sats or transponders. Avg signal is above 90 on 80% of transponders
I bought it August 2004 no trees in line of sight dish is on the roof. It seems to have started about 6 months ago when I upgraded tv to 61 inch dlp Samsung
