Ok, here's the scoop. I just moved about 1200 miles, so the TiVo was down for just over a week, and spent 3+ days bouncing around in the back of the car. I get everything hooked up Sunday, and all is well, until this morning.
I was sitting doing some work when I heard what I could really only describe as a woodpecker sound. I'm a tech, and to be honest if this is a write head landing, I've never heard anything quite so loud. What it really sounds like is a wire getting clinked around by the fan, but the problem is it's very sporadic. Usually a wire would be a much more constant sound.
Guess it's off to the underground to learn how to back up a system drive (or in this case 2 drives onto 1 if it's possible).
