R10 questions

Hi all.....
A couple of months ago, the HD started to die on Mommas DirecTV R10. After telling her I could possibly upgrade it- she opted to get a R15 instead

After about a week of that- she decided that maybe having me fix the old one was not such a bad idea..........

Replaced the HD- with a 200 gb WD drive- everything seemed to work fine. However, it now seems to freeze every so often . No ryhme or reason to it that I can tell- will freeze wether recording, or just playing "live" TV, or playing a reorded show. After unplugging, everything seems to be OK- but it is a aggrevation (especially if it freezes right before it starts to record her soap operas........)

Suggestions?

When you replaced the HD, where did you get the image to restore onto it?

I managed to get the image from the "old" drive

You might have copied some damaged files when you used the old defective drive to create the new drive. You might want to re-image the new drive using PTVUpgrade's InstantCake utility, which includes the new image file for your R10.
