toshiba freeview problems

have just bought a new toshiba freeview box box to replace my aging and slightly ropey alba but heaven forbid my tivo wont change channels theymust have changed ir channels if anyone knows please help

Why are you assuming the Alba remote codes will work the Toshiba?

Go into preferances, STB settings (can't remember the exact wording) and change the code to Toshiba if it is listed or try the Freeview codes.

Sorry I did not explain myself very well have allready changed to the listed Toshiba codes and these do not work with my Toshiba set top box so was trying to find out if anyone else had had the same problem and knew the right ir codes.]

Research tells me its the same as Humax or Matsui & indeed the IR codes 200046 works for single & some double digit numbers choosing both manufacturers & the Freeview option with the same code. The box itself seems to work with no lead or 2 zero leads but even the slow speed doesn't pick up all the digits with the IR blaster - any tecchies out there got any bright ideas or should I have got the Thompson?
