Been out of the Tivo software loop for a long time.
Ran Xtreme2.5 on my T60 for years and the HD just died. I got a 300G Maxtor, bought the Instantcake CD, and put 3.5 onto it. It was very easy and came right up in the Tivo with almost zero issues. The DTivo is working well now.
The T60 already had a NIC in it that I hadn't had reason to use in a couple of years. I've read through the fragmented documentation and know how to get the IP and put the .NETREADY in. I'll do that tonight.
My question is: Once I have telnet access to the machine, what to do with it? What are the current good utils to have for a Series 1 T60? There is so much info out there, mostly in conversations that are hard to follow, if someone would be so kind as to post simple util names I can do the research on them myself. Point me in the direction of what is best!
