Adding channels not listed

My cable co changed a few chans in its lineup a few months ago. I just got my first tivo a few days ago. Everything seems smooth but the 2 channels that were moved are not recognized by my tivo. Is there any way I can manually set the box so that it knows for example chan 74=national geographic?

No, your TiVo relies on the information fed to it by the TiVo service (guide data) based on your choices during Guided Setup.

You can report lineup errors here:

It can sometimes take a week or two for the TIVO lineup to reflect the changes by your provider... if its not fixed within that period I would report the Lineup error.

Options?

I reported this a few days after the above link was provided. I sent a detailed notice as well as a link to my cable co lineup (which is correct) on their website. The change occurred with the cable co several months prior to me getting my tivo. I've loved the tivo unit/service other than this annoyance, and a slight problem getting it to display the CC...

Do I have any other options to get them to correct the line up problem? Its with more channels than I realized initially. I hate calling, but maybe thats my only option?

Have you checked the Zap2It.com website to verify your lineup. If it is wrong there then report it to them.

I just reported the error to them. Problem is on the cable co website they have it incorrect in the tv guide section, but its listed correctly in the cable package pricing section. I sent the correct link. Hopefully this will help get things going. Thanks!
