Portable DVD R/w

I want to get a portable DVD R/W device for my Direct TV/Tivo. Does anyone have any advice as to what model or manufacturer to use?

I think he really means a standalone DVD recorder.
There are any number on the market, all of which will work to archive shows from a TiVo.

If that is what he meant I reccomend any that have a harddrive. Extra storage space as well as editing capabilities. Although dont get any with tivo built in as there are no editing capabilities.

And we do meran recorder not burner. A recorder accepts the A/V out from the TiVo, so you can record it. A Burner connects to a PC as a drive to make CDs or DVDs. A Burner cannot be connected to a TiVo to burn its contents to DVD.
