I just wanted to remind everyone who might be watching shows on FOX in primetime that KTVU, Channel 2 in Oakland / San Jose, shifts the shows displaced by the telecast of the Giants baseball games to their sister station, KICU Channel 36 (cable 6).
I missed last night's episode of So You Think You Can Dance because the show dropped out of my Guide Data for KTVU, but did NOT reappear on KICU (bad Tribune!). However, the change
did show up in time to make the hardcopy edition of TV Guide. Which I didn't read until after it was too late.
I contacted KTVU and got a very friendly response which said in part, "Our policy for the last several years has been to move Fox prime programs to our sister station Action 36 Cable 6 - KICU when there is a Giants baseball game preempting it. "
I was already aware of this, and had caught the change for 6/14's show, but I when I saw that 6/8 had gone missing, I didn't check the schedule on the KTVU website or set up a manual recording "just in case" for 6/8 on KICU. As my buddy at KTVU said, "Bummer."
The person in programming who reports the changes to the listing services is now aware there are problems and the changes aren't always getting through on time. KTVU deserves a

in my book -- they did have an alert on the website and responded to my email very promptly.
So far I've discovered the following:
KTVU's own website has listings via Titan TV.
MeeVee
www.MeeVee.com is not showing the change for SYTYCD from KTVU - KICU for 6/14 yet -- it still shows as on KTVU.
The KICU listing for "So You Think You Can Dance" now has a "set a Season Pass" designator on it (not sure if it did when I originally set up the recording).
I've set up an ARWL as a backup in case the show changes and I don't catch it, but that won't help in the instances where the Guide Data gets screwed up. So I encourage KTVU watchers to check their website for schedule changes.
Also, if you have a Google calendar, I think the Giants schedule is available publicly there.
Hopes this help others from the same kind of stupid mistake I made yesterday. If your show is pre-empted, feel free to bump this thread.
