Push video to TiVo?

How about going in the opposite direction? I have a video camera with an SD card and would like to push to my TiVo DVD recorder...

Any thoughts?

You just have to convert the video to a .mpeg file and put it in your TivoToGo folder on your desktop. Then on your Tivo go to Now Playing, and at the bottom your PC should be there. Select it, wait (sometimes a while) and select the program, say yes to transfer, and watch it.

To convert it to .mpeg format you might want to try Videora's Tivo Converter (just google Videora). Not sure if it will handle the camera format directly though. You may have to capture in a real video editing program and convert to something else there first.

Thanks for the info

Thanks g for the reply. I'm bad pauses in the play of the video, even though the bitrate is lower than the videos recorded by the DVR. Think that's probably related though to Humax, not Tivo...

Thanks!

My Toshiba TX20 has a firewire port on the front of the TiVo I can use to "capture" video off my video camera directly onto the TiVo. Do the Humaxes have that?

You could also just use the standard composite in jacks if you don't want to have to go through your PC first.
