Big Love "Where There's a Will" 5/21 *spoilers*
No BL tread yet?
Interesting episode, can't wait for the finale in two weeks.
Bill buys out UAB shares -- should make Roman steaming mad. I'm curious to see what Roman's response will be next week when Bill sits on the council.
Also in the news last week.. Big Love was renewed for Season 2.

Just when I thought Margie was looking good losing her baby weight! That must've pissed off Nicky. She'll probably be mad at her because it wasn't planned.
Roman's new little bride sure is a deviant one. I'm looking forward to what she'll do next.

I thought Nicki never wanted to get pregnant... she just wanted the attention from Bill... she was taking birth control pills.

That was my take on it as well, she wanted to see Bill more often.
Roman's new/future bride is a total whack. The discussion between Bill's daughter and the LDS co-worker was great.
The finale should be interesting.

Can somebody clue me in to something: My TivO missed a couple of episodes for some reason...and it seems that Bill and wife #1's relationship has changed. Wife #3 even asks her something and she says "It's over". What are they referring too? Did wife #1 leave the family but is sticking around for the kids? What am I missing?

The two were having secret and regular "meetings" at a hotel room away from the other two wives. Wife 2 (Nicki) found out about it, but shortly after she did, the trysts ended. Nicki said to wife 1, "Just tell me it's over."

Bill and wife # 1 were having a "fling", I guess you'd call it. They were sneaking around and going to hotels and having sex, and not telling the other wives about it. Is that considered an affair??
This is a weird concept for a show, no doubt.

I hate Nicki. Hating brunette Nicki part II as well. I am guessing Bill is going to lose everything. The stores and houses are all mortgaged to the max. He is going to have to leave his "normal" life and retake his grandfather's spot as the head of the compound. Just my guess so stay back spoiler police! Just stay back!

I liked this ep.
First off, I'm glad they are doing something about the back yards. That was driving me crazy!
Secondly, I wonder how much Bill had to pay for the shares? If he had to mortgage the house(s), I'm guessing it was a lot.
Also, I liked the way the ep juxtaposed Barb and her accepting to be in the running for Mom of the year and everyone pressuring Bill in to not joining the "league".

My only problem is that Barb is usually the one keeping everybody else in line...I don't know that I buy that she would continue with the Mother of the Year knowing what it entails.

just got around to watching this last night. My take...
Barb - Mother of the year will either expose the whole family, or she will bail out at the last second. I think bailing out will draw more attention to her so it really puts her in a bind. I also agree with pmyers that she is the glue that holds the family together. With her away & teaching, it has put a lot of strain on the other 2 wives already. Pretty soon Barb will become exactly what she hates about her own sister.
Nicki - As morbid as this may sound, I hope she is the first wife to have her will excersised. I have no idea why Bill ever married her. She is a manipulative brat whose values in no way match those of everyone else in the family. And her constant desire to be the center of attention is a tired act.
Margie - She needs to stand up for herself more. I like how she took the initiative to lay the sod in the backyard. It shows that she is actually doing something useful instead of screwing things up all the time.
Bill - He will get everyone in his family killed, or Roman will use all he knows to expose him and ruin him. I really do not see him being manipulative enough to stage a true takeover of the compound.
