That didn't look half bad. But, it must have really sucked if the CW didn't pick it up.

His name is Justin Hartley. He was on Passions before he left to film the Aquaman.

It did look like a feature trailer (especially with Ving Rhames in it) but...

Hmm... looked pretty good.. though I'm surprised to see Ving Rhames doing a cable channel series.

Maybe the production costs were too high. Expecially with an actor like Ving Rhames

Is Aquaman definitely torpedoed?

Yes, pun intended. I know the CW didn't announce it in the upfronts, but does anyone know if the idea is completely rejected or just perhaps postponed? I was looking forward to the show. And now after seeing the trailer, I'm even more disappointed if it's going nowhere.

One, this show was intended to be a network show, no way could cable support the expense, and two, Ving Rhames just last year starred in the basic cable remake of Kojak, lollipop and all. It wasn't too bad of a series, but wasn't popular enough to get a renewal.

Hmm... I'm a bit behind on my Smallville (just watched the 100th episode two nights ago) but it's still very good up to the point I'm at. I'm hoping it doesn't suddenly start to suck now that you know who is dead.

He is not an actor, he is Ving Rhames. When has he ever played a character that wasn't Ving Rhames? He was the worst thing about that trailer. hmm....this just in, I am apparently not too big a fan of Ving Rhames.

Yeah, seems like a lot of production (and effects) for just a tv show.

Word is that it's not completely dead:
Quote:
The WB's highly hyped new series "Aquaman" is still in contention for midseason.
No further info than that in the article.

Although, if you read this, it seems like that's not the case:
Quote:
Mistaken Reports
Articles in The Washington Post and IGN.com have implied that Aquaman is still a contender for midseason placement, and that this was said at the CW Upfronts by entertainment president Dawn Ostroff on May 18.

We don't want to get up any false hopes, but as far as we know at AquamanTV, there are no plans to put the series on at midseason. Which is why it is very important to spread the word around the Net that you want to see Aquaman - so perhaps, by some miracle or chance, executives at the CW will decide to exercise their right to put in an order for more of the series while they still can.
