That was the best skit of the night, perhaps even the only good one. My only disappointment was that they had Michael Powell but didn't have even one FCC joke.

"How about you put some UN Peacekeeping forces in between my foot and yo' ass!"

I had higher hopes with Tom Hanks hosting. Oh well.

I forgot to watch until it was halfway over and only saw a couple of skits. Did they do "Mr. Short-term Memory?" That was always my favorite Tom Hanks bit, and I love when the hosts come on there so often that they have their own characters.

I was talking to a buddy of mine last night about Mr. STM and his non-apperance.

His first occurance was in 89, I think he showed up 2 more times in the 90s. Apperantly the head writer was Conan, so that may be why he hasn't made a reapperance when Hanks hosts. Maybe there's an unwritten rule that you can't write someone else's character.

Well, whatever the reason I was disappointed. I really would like to see Mr. STM again.

Didn't they do a sanford and son skit previously? I have seen one in the past 6 months, maybe it was mad tv though.

It wasn't as good as some previous shorts, but I still enjoyed the digital short a lot. These things are 100x funnier than smeigel stuff. Smeigel was great for a while but his stuff got really repetitive.

I enjoyed the "debate" on weekend update.

I had that exact boombox used in the digital short in 1991.

I only liked Weekend update, the skits didn't even get a giggle out of me, and the RHCP performances were like watching epileptic siezures.
