Saw a TiVo commercial on TV Tonight
I was watching Discovery Channel's "Dirty Jobs" (hey, I'm trapped in a hotel with no TiVo). There was a commercial promoting TiVo's $16.95 offer. The commercial was pretty good -- a little cheesy in parts, but fairly slick and professionally done.
I'm guessing this has something to do with the TiVo call center going 24x7 (there is a thread about that topic, too).
Has anybody else started seeing ads for the new pricing?
P.S. I noticed that the TiVo home page has changed recently. The animated thing is gone, replaced by the $19.95, 1-year offer.

I saw the same commercial on the Discovery Channel's "American Chopper", recorded earlier today. I already deleted the episode, but it seemed that the website wasn't the regular tivo.com site. Next time I see this commercial, I will make a not of the URL.

I have yet to see a TiVo comercial... In fact what turned me on to TiVo was sombody from slashdot posting about the new prices and box included... We always planned on getting one but had a new baby last year, moved into a bigger house this year and money was tight, saw the new pricing plans and had just jump on it. TiVo is on my local FedEx truck right now just waiting to be home. I'll look for the TiVo comercial though.

Yep saw it last night on DSC - good idea, but instead of the infomercial style, they need to go ipod style and tie the campaign into their website, and just make the concept more exciting all together. But hey, just my opinion - sure they know best.

Was it a new type of Tivo Commerical, or the stuff that's been recording late at night on Discovery channel for years?

Unfortunately, the TiVo that it was recorded on does not have the latest software because I have one of the incompatible wired usb network adapters (USB 100TX).
