3 (that's three) second skip

This is on my "free" R10.

I recorded the Piston's game on Fox Detroit last night. Near the end of the game (approx. 2:15 in) I used the 30 second skip to get through a commercial. IT TOOK 41 PRESSES FOR A 2 MINUTE COMMERCIAL!!! That's right...a 3 second skip! I tried it several times to make sure. The 6 second "back" button moved it back 2-3 seconds. Checking the 24 second clock confirmed it. I rewound to the beginning of the program and it worked fine. Anyone ever experience this? Are they experimenting with overriding this "feature" (I didn't notice any black helicopters hovering above the house, but my series 1 "lost" a bunch of channels again last nght). Just wondering.

I have noticed that the 30 second skip doesn't work right on really long recordings.

Thanks for the link. Next time it happens, I'll try clearing and resetting the 30ss to see if that works.

A system reset would not be an option as I usually start watching while it's still recording.

i've found even toggling on and off doesn't work sometimes. But it mostly happens on OTA recordings for me. Obviously you have no OTA but it's "good' to see non HD machines have this error also so we can maybe narrow down the conditions. (not that it will help or anything, just nice to research)
