American Idol "Episode #526" for 4/4/06 *spoilers*
What happened to Kenny Rogers he looks odd these days..
Taylor (1-866-IDOLS-01) is up singing "Take me home country road" He did okay but I don't think it was his type of song.
Mandisa (1-866-IDOLS-02) is singing "Any man of mine"... Once again she did okay but nothing to great...
Elliot (1-866-IDOLS-03) Not sure what he is singing... He did pretty good, better than the first 2.
Paris (1-866-IDOLS-04) is Singing "how do i live without you". Hmmmmm she did okay but not great either.
Ace (1-866-IDOLS-05) singing "I want to cry". Okay I am sick of the falsetto stuff..
Kellie (1-866-IDOLS-06) she says she's really dumb and not pretending..  She is singing "Fancy". She did quite good sort of had an unfair advantage tonight over the rest except maybe Bucky since he's a hick too.. 
Chris (1-866-IDOLS-07) he is singing...not sure again.. I thought he did really well tonight.
Katharine McPhee! (1-866-IDOLS-08) My favorite! Did "bringing out the elvis in me" and I thought it was really good. I must keep her on my screen..
Bucky (1-866-IDOLS-09) I'm not sure what this song is... Hmmm not so good for me...

Oh, geez. This is going to be a nightmare of monumental proportions. This is a waste of their time and ours... the only two singers left that are really country singers are Bucky and Kelly. So far, it's been bad and getting worse.

I actually think Chris and Katharine were the best of the night by far. Kelly might have done almost as well, if not as well, as Chris and Katharine - but that's because she does country all the time. I was much more impressed by Chris and Katharine for overcoming being uncomfortable with the music format and giving a really great performance.
Oh, and Kenny - trust me, EVERYONE has heard that song... it was a top 10 song from Vertical Horizon long before it was a country song. Nice way to remind Mushmouth to open his mouth though. (Note to Kamakazie - it was "Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)" and it was originally performed by Vertical Horizon, then covered by Gary Allan.) |

Hmm, they seem to have gone out of their way the last couple weeks to make sure you knew Kelly has breasts.
And will someone please explain the love for Elliot? I thought that was downright terrible, and also went completely against the snippet of advice that KR gave him.
And I'm still having nightmares of Mandisa wiggling her shoulders back and forth to flop her breasts around. Now, I'm not trying to be insulting, but that's really not a good idea.

Please.....can we be like Donald Trump and fire 2 tonight....PLEASE bye-bye Bucky and Pickler....sick of the trash factor....(no offense), but they are just such hick-bar singers...yuck! He seems nice but inbred and she has that stupid act down to a science and it is really TIRED!
I am beginning to wonder why I even bother with this show any more.
Can anyone tell me why we bother anymore?!?

I think Bucky blew it. He sang a song that I'm betting most people know as a pop song. He should have picked something really country. I betcha he's done.
Kellie, Katharine and Chris were good. Ace was OK. Everyone else pretty much blew.

Just looked again....is the REAL Kenny Roger in witness protection?? OMG!!!!!!!!! Awful!! He should sue the surgeons!

I'm guessing your dislike of these two is not getting in the way of your critique. Bucky was no worse than the other under-par singers and Kellie was really good.

Stretch....Yawn.... Wow, that was uneventful. Really dissapointed overall. Yikes. I thought Ace was good tonight (until the dreadful falsetto). I really liked Katherine tonight, Pickler and her cutesy act is getting old; but, WOW, she was looking pretty good in that top  |

Chris and Taylor are the only two singers in this competition that I would ever listen to outside of this competition, and tonight did nothing to change that opinion.
That said, just like last week, the whole night pretty much sucked.
My crush on Katherine is officially over. My McPhever broke, my temp has returned to normal.
Kellie was hot tonight, in a slutty, trailer-trash-girl-matchin' her shoes to her top-kinda-way. But she still can't sing for sh*t........
One other thing, how in the hell has Bucky Covington made it this far?

bahahahahaha... you just made me rewind to check out the shoes! And how when Seacrest called her out for faking dumb, she proclaims she really IS that dumb. Maybe next week she'll wear a saLmon-colored top and shoes... (since I'm SURE she'll make the cut yet again this week)
And I must be listening to the oldies and such on Sirius too much because I've NEVER heard that song Bucky sang and I listen to all kinds of music - including country, but not much of the new stuff in the last few months. I agree that Bucky really blew his one chance to shine. I have no idea who will be going next - such a lot of mediocre performances tonight. I fear we're going to have one of those shocking weeks where one of the real contenders is cut just because they couldn't sing country. I don't agree with this theme at all - that's what "Nashville Star" is for! (and I even LIKE country music)
Bedtime now... hope I don't have any too-tight-faced Kenny Rogers nightmares!

Yeah I voted for Bucky in the DVR sweepstakes thing on my TiVo. I've never actually watched American Idol, but I went to see how people voted last time, and I voted for the person that wasn't voted off last time but had the highest number of people voting against him. Looks like I might win! God I hate American Idol.
