No Image or Sound, except Tivo menus

ok so i just re-initialized my HDD after getting a green screenscreen using InstantCake. No Problems yet.

Tivo boots, do the walk through. Do the Phone Call. awesome.

connect the cable box.

no tv image or sound.

i can see the Tivo menus, the beep sound from the Tivo interface comes thru.

so i think cable box isn't sending signal. i disconnect the S-Video from Tivo, plug directly into the TV. Channel 4 News pops up on the TV.

for some reason the Tivo isn't recieving or passing thru the TV signal.

i tried different DVR A/V settings. no luck.

any help?

What model TiVo? Did you re-run guided setup to select that the TiVo use whatever input you are using from the cable box?

Tivo Ser. 2 stand alone 24004A (does that ring a bell?)

i did not re-run it, but went directly to the settings menu for the input selection.

i guess i can re-run it, do i have to make another phone call?, because i have to relocate the Tivo and TV everytime i need to connect to the phone.

Turn on your cable box.

If you used Instantcake and you say you did, you have to do a clear & delete everything. You can not just repeat the guided setup.

i did the "Clear and Delete" everything. looks like it worked! thanks!

odd. since i did the same guided setup on initial power-up.

As said, you need to C&DE, for the porpose if marrying the board ID and encryption keys to the HDD system.
