Best wired USB adapter

I have an older Series 2 (model 140) that has USB1.1

My transfer times for high quality programs seem to be about 3x real time. I also sometimes have problems streaming audio to my TiVo, and photos seem to take a long time to transfer.

I'm currently using a Linksys USB100M adapter. Is there a better choice that would go faster, remembering that I'm constraint to USB1.1?

The USB100 TX maybe. There might even be improvement with a USB 2.0 adapter, such as the Netgear FA120.

The performance you're getting sounds about right. Tivo will limit max transmit rate to 50% of USB thoughput, leaving 50% of bandwidth available for incoming packets.

Only option would be to trade up to a 240 model.
