HR10-250 or H20?

I am waiting on a new plasma and will be able to watch HDTV for the first time. I am a long time DirecTV customer and own 3 DirecTivos. My plasma has a built in HD tuner for OTA. I would like to be able to watch the Sopranos in HD and ESPN HD. I am in the Greensboro, NC market ( #47). Should I buy a HR10-250 now and then get switched out when mpeg-4 hits our area or just get a H20 for now? I know everyone is saying we can switched out for free but what about DirecTV's move to leased equipment? If a HD PVR leases for $10 a month, it takes 3+ years for payback? Any suggestions?

If you can get locals OTA, get the HR10-250 now. You will have little need for MPEG-4 until they add national HD channels, and who knows when that will be.

Left DirecTV 4/15/07. Left TWC 8/8/11. Forced back to TWC 3/7/13.
