Can't create SP of both SD and OTA same show?

Tried this before my OTA was good enough for a reliable signal but I'm still curious as to why it didn't work:

I tried doing this and thought since SP were unique to channels, that I could record the OTA version of the show at the same time as over the dish. But the OTA SP just wont record because of the 28 day rule. I guess that means a manual recording would have to do?

Set the SP for all episodes including repeats.

And it would only pick up the ones on that OTA channel right? not the ones on the 380s and 80s locals?

It will still work as a SP for just that channel, but you will pick up the shows that you aren't getting due to the 28 day rule.
