Almost had a heart attack with Samsung LCD HDTV?!

About a month ago I bought a new Samsung LN-R328W LCD HDTV. The first day I brought it home I noticed a dead pixel. I couldn't live with it so I took it back next day and got a brand new one. No dead pixels on it.

Then today I was watching some TV Days of Our Lives. LOL! Anyways on a bright white screen I saw a green pixel I was like WTF. Heart attack almost occured. I was thinking why me?!?!? Then I rememered yesterday I cleaned the dust off the TV with the Monster Screen Clean Cloth. Haven't used the spray yet cause it is not dirty just dusty so I wiped the screen. I don't think I wiped hard or anything. So anyways I turned the TV off for a few seconds hoping when I turned it on that it would go away.

I rewind the TIVO to a white screen, and it is still there. Then I was like well let me get the Monster cloth and rub on it. I rub on it for maybe like 2 seconds and all the sudden it disappeared. Then I cut the TV off to let it rest some.

Damn though I was scared. On the TV I have the Brightness Sensor turned off and the Dynamic Contrast turned off. This way my Xbox 360 games aren't so dark.

Does anyone know how to avoid these stuck pixels cause this is the first stuck one I have had, and thank God it let me rub it off. But it was weird you can tell it was stuck behind the screen cause I like pressed down on it, and it was gone like on the second rub over.

Dead/stuck pixels are a fact of life with LCD. Often if you are lucky and don't have any, it will remain that way. But they can happen at any time and there is not much you can do. I have seen where putting pressure on the screen (like when you rubbed it) can 'fix' the problem, but it may or may not last. In other words, don't be surprised if it comes back.

Yeah I am not going to worry about it too much. Anyone else have those kind of problems? Man I have only had this TV for like a month.

Anyone knows what causes this, and if there is a way to make it stop. Cause with the stuck pixel I can just press lightly on it, and it will disappear.

Hopefully it will stay gone, but if it comes back I won't mess with it. Hopefully it will leave on it's own where I don't have to keep touching the screen.

And, a dust spot can reflect the light from a pixel and make it look bad.

HDNet has at least one camera with a dead pixel near the middle, upper right of it's viewing area. I've seen it in the same place in several shows which have no other connection than that they are all on HDNet (and produced by HDNet).

...and the pixel goes away and returns when there is a two camera shot (like an interview) so I know it's not the show itself.
