5 LNB Dish & HR10-250

Just purchased a HR10-250 thru D*.
The CSR said that since I was in the LA area I needed to upgrade to the new 5LNB.
I have since learned that the 5LNB dish is for future MPEG4 use and the HR10-250 is MPEG2.
Will I have any problem with the HR10-250 if it is connected to the new 5LNB dish?

Thanks

No. The 5 LNB dish picks up what the 3 LNB dish does, plus MPEG-4 satellites.

No problems, but it is not needed for the HR10. You will, however, be prepared for the MPEG4 upgrades when they happen.

Thanks, both.

AJ,
I see you are in the LA area.
Do you currently watch the local channels in HD (MPEG4)?

No, not yet. It hasn't been offered to me by D* yet. If they would do a 5 LNB dish install and trade-out my Mitsubishi HD receiver for free I would probably go for it. I have no intention of giving up my HD Tivos until the new HD DVRs come out and the dust settles.

I have very good local OTA HD reception and really don't need the MPEG-4 stuff. I would like to do a comparison though.
