InstantCake Time Limit?

Purchased and downloaded IC a couple of weeks ago but didn't burn to CD. Purchased at the same time IC for a different machine and that worked fine. I just got to burning the CD for the 1st machine today and it doesn't work - opens a browser window and takes you to their site. Did I screw something up or is this intentional?? TIA

If you run any PTVUpgrade CD in a Windows computer it will do just what you describe. Pretty cool way to advertise to those who do not know that the CD is used to boot into Linux.

just to confirm...

There is no time limit or fancy licensing associated with InstantCake (or any of our utilities).

Many of our CD's (if not all of them) will automatically send the user to our web site, once the CD is burned and inserted in to a Windows-based computer. This isn't intended to confuse people, just get them over to our site should they stick the CD into their system.

Hopefully, you found your way to our forums for support . Disregard all the noise and repetitive questions there - there are basic instructions, and release notes at the top of the tech support area; those should get you on the right track.

Thanks and good luck,
Lou
