Pause menu??

Everytime I hit the pause key the time bar comes up at the bottom of the screen and just stays there for quite awhile and then goes away. Is there someway to shorten the period of time it stays up?? Kind of annoying if you're trying to read the fine print of an ad and have to wait 1 or 2 minutes after pausing it before it goes away. Thanks.

There is a hack to do it, or you can simply hit the clear button and it will go away.

Try entering via the remote while playing a recorded show:

Select - Play - Select - Pause - Select

This is the code that makes the bar go away quickly. Its a toggle, and it will need to be re-entered everytime your TiVo is restarted.

After pause, hit exit and it will go away.

If you need to see it longer, just hit play during normal play.
