Question re Humax DRT-400 DVD

I have a Humax DVD recorder, DRT-400. I can record programs to the TIVO without problem. I wanted to transfer a movie from HBO I recorded to TIVO to a DVD disk. The program recorded correctly to the hard drive. I wanted to transfer the movie to DVD disk using the Humax DVD recorder (built-in). The recorder indicated that the DVD was burned correctly. All I got was a black screen with no audio or video. It would not play on the Humax, any other DVD player or my PCs DVD player.
I reburned x2 with the same result.

Then I recorded a program (football) off ESPN and it recorded and was able to be transferred to a DVD disk using the Humax with no problems.
Does anyone have any idea as to what I can do to record movies to the Humax DVD recorder?

I wish I could be of more help, but my first thought is to call the Humax technical support number provided in the manual. I'm sure you've already tried that, but just in case you didn't think of it....
