Can Series One Tivo's download to DVD?

My Series One Tivo has in menu that it can download to a VCR. Does anyone know if it can download to DVD also?
Thanks

It doesn't "download" in any digital/computer sense. It just plays and any device (VCR or DVD recorder) can record it.

It's not like an integrated unit that can transfer the bits to the DVD in less than the time it takes to play the show.

Okay, so the Humax for example Tivo DVD can record to DVD in a matter of minutes a whole movie, but to save it to VCR would take a couple hours if the movie is two hours long??

Question dgh or other

Would a stand-along DVD recorder take minutes to record from a Series One Tivo like I have, or would it take two hours for a two hour movie?

A standalone DVD recorder would also take 2 hours for a 2 hour movie.

There's only one speed for copying analog video - two hours takes two hours. Units with integrated DVD recorders can copy the bits without analog limitations.
