Tivo to DVD Burner

Tivo gives you the option of sending a recorded program to your VCR. If your VCR and DVD Burner are a combo unit, can you use "send to VCR" from the Tivo menu and record to your DVD instead? I have successfully recorded to DVD while playing a recorded Tivo program, but I'd like to do so without having to watch it.

I haven't been able to try this yet because I'm waiting to get my Tivo unit back from being repaired.

Yes -- the analog signal out of the DVR can be recorded to DVD. Your burner should be able to direct it to the proper media.

BTW, the Save to VCR function just disables some remote functions and adds a description screen. You still have to watch it.
