TiVo stuck on "almost there. just a few minutes..." screen

Our electricity went out twice last night. The first time TiVo recovered fine. Now it is stuck on "almost there. just a few minutes..." Please advise. Thanks very much,

Mike

Is your TiVo plugged into a UPS (Universal Power Supply)? If not, it should be - at least 350Watts with battery backup. Anything could have been hurt in the TiVo. If you know how to reimage the hard drive that is where I would start.

May I know how you fixed it? I am also in that situation at this very moment.

Please, any other thoughts out there are welcome. I have a 6-month old Series 2- still sealed inside- no upgrades or anything like that. Thanks!

Looks like I also did it...thanks to posts related to software update 7.2.2. I unplugged my Linksys USB200M network adapter, rebooted the unit by unplugging from the power source, once fully booted up- I plugged back the USB200M, and rebooted the unit again. Then, I connected manually to Tivo, rebooted the system, and so far, it looks I'm good to go.
