Las Vegas - "Bait and Switch" - 1/2

For some reason, my TiVo cut away from NBC during the first and last 5 minutes and recorded BET instead. What'd I miss?

What's the first thing you saw? IIRC, the first bit was Danny going up to a room because the music was playing too loudly. In fact, they didn't hear him knock and he had to let himself in. He found a couple filming themselves having sex to the soundtrack of whatever rap singer was shooting the video. That's the same couple that he went back to get the tape from later.

What's the last thing you saw? The show ended in Mystique with that singer doing a show. Danny thanked the video couple and they offered him another tape. Then he met up with Delinda at the bar and said they went back and forth about how if they wanted to sleep with each other, they should just go ahead and say it.

Mike was hilarious. Hot Chocolate

The episode overall was pretty eh.

I almost thought you were referencing the rap stuff with the BET comment but I guess that wasn't the case and your machine really freaked on you...that stinks. If that was a 'real' singer, he got some exposure on the show at least. Good ole honest mike not using the poster to his advantage. Could it be he still has the hots for his old fling?

Ed should have taken out castillo right there in the casino...would have been great tv. I thought this was a bit too sexually overt. Not saying i minded, just that they went over the top esp. with sam's comments about ...you know....

next week..well...let's just say nbc loves misdirection...no way is that which was inferred going to happen...that part of the story has to be gone and buried...hopefully...ick!!!

I was expecting Delinda to reenact Sharon Stone's interrogation scene in "Basic Instinct." Can't do it in jeans, though. Telling Danny that she's not wearing any panties just doesn't have the same impact as showing him.

So where was the hot Indian girl from accounting? I thought she and Mike were intrigued with each other.

As much as I like this show (and I just tried to move my SP for it to the backup TiVo, where it would stay for a rainy day, only to watch it 3 hours after it aired anyway), I think you can safely miss 5 minutes of an episode without fretting too much.

I mean, what are they going to do? Blow up the casino while you're not looking?

I was referring to the fact that the start and end of the show was essentially just a rap video. If you choose to be rigidly literal, there's not much I can do to help you.

When Danny started bragging about Delinda to the rapper in the interrogation, I expected Big Ed to be on the other side of the mirror.

A traditional girl like that would not be interested in dating a male stripper.


BTW, wouldn't the way Ed handled the diamond thief be considered extortion?

I would think so.

Of course, he couldn't send her to jail in any case, because the owner of the diamonds wouldn't want to press charges (but of course, she didn't know that).

I thought Lil' Flip was surprisingly good during his brief acting scenes.

FYI, he is the rapper who had the hit "Game Over" that used samples from Pac Man. He and Sony BMG got sued by Namco.
