Menu Problem with my new Tivo!!

Hey all,
I got my TiVo a about 8 hours ago and I have been noticing that when I hit the "Tivo" button the menu comes up with out a background. The menu options are listed and everything works fine, but I cannot see some of the words because the picture that is on the live tv interferes with it. Aren't I supposed to get a multi-colored menu or something? Its like the background is clear or something.

Someone, perhaps you, also asked this in the tivo.com forum. I suggested a "Clear and Delete Everything" from the "Restart the Recorder" menu might help. If not, return the box and exchange it for a new one.
