Is your power supply completely dead?
Did you recently unplug the power cord from the back of a TiVo and now when you plug it back in nothing happens?
Instead of bad capacitors, it might be that on one of the two places where the AC jack contacts are soldered to the circuit board the copper right around the terminal has broken loose from the rest of that trace.
It just happened to me on a 240 supply.
