Incomplete Download from Tivo Series 4 to Windows 8

Sometimes I am getting incomplete downloads from my series 4 to Windows 8. Most of the time, there isn't a problem downloading TV shows or movies. But intermittently there is a movie or show that will not download completely. I get partial downloads.

I have tried to transfer to another tivo box and then download from there, but i get the same incomplete file.

The show is fine when I play it on the tivo box.

Has anyone else had this issue AND have a solution?

Compare the downloaded video to where it ends and to the same point on the Tivo. Any glitch will cause the download to stop. You can pause it after the problematic point and resume download, but not all programs will resume downloads.

Original S1 (Recycle Heaven)
Series 2 (PLS, sold)
TiVo HD (XL, PLS, "652")
Juliet Basic (4XL, PLS)
