I've liked it from the beginning, but the last season never got watched so I deleted it along with the SP.

I just have too much to watch and it never bubbled to the top.

I feel the show has run it's course. For me they've shown all they can about crab fishing and the last couple of seasons seem like the same footage from previous seasons. I also don't like the drama they are trying to add to liven up the show. I don't need to know about the personal lives of the fishermen. Or have them edit the show to make it seem like there is conflict between the captains.

But I will still watch.

The show is stale and formulaic. Nothing new ever happens and I doubt anything truly new ever will....yet every season now is like catching up with old friends. I never miss an episode.

I think this is the exact reason why this show is still so popular...people do care about the private lives of the fishermen.

With the addition of Elliott and his girlfriend troubles this show is starting to look more like The Jerry Springer Show than a docudrama about catching crabs. (No pun intended)

I've watched it from the beginning and still enjoy it. I agree about Elliott. I can do without his whiny melodrama. He keeps hooking up with girls that cheat on him every chance they get. Then again, can you blame them?

I also agree that the show has gotten down to a personal level. Once you get to know the characters you start caring about them. Losing Phil was traumatic and downright sad. It's a shame his one son can't get his act together.

One thing I have to say is that there seems to be a lot less comradry between the captains that there once was. Now there seems to be a lot of backstabbing and every man for himself type of attitude. I can't see how anyone could ever trust Junior.

Just a bump to remind those interested that there's three hours of DC starting at 8:00pm tonight!

I watch every episode fully expecting them to find a human head in one of the pots.
