Loved the pretty pink dress Brienne was wearing at dinner! I'm shocked that Jaime didn't make a joke about it

You think that Jack Gleason realizes that he will never, ever, work again after being typecast and hated in GoT?

Too bad he had to be a natural blonde.

I think with some additional color he can beat the typecasting, it shouldn't be that career limiting.

I don't know about that. Surely there's a market for evil, sadistic SOBs in TV/movies.

Plus, you know, he'll grow up and not look anything like Joffrey.

I love this show but really wish they would cut out about half of the storylines!

In Cleveland yesterday there were 3 girls who had been kidnapped around 10 years ago who were found held by a guy in a house very close to their home neighborhood. While the guy had 2 brothers helping him, you have to wonder that they couldn't get away any time in 10 years. The details are still coming out, but it made me think of the way "the boy" is torturing Theon. Let him think he's escaping, then catch him and punish him. Repeat. Until you don't even need to guard him--he's not going anywhere. I wonder if that's what happened to the girls. So sad.....

The actor will turn 21 in a couple weeks. I'm not sure how much more his looks are going to change.

Hey Everyone!

I’m so very excited to be able to *finally* join the GOT threads! I’ve been on a mad marathon for the past few weeks starting with the first episode and have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the threads after each episode, even if I was a bit late to the game.

Special shout-out to Anubys for his ew recap compilation – what an great bonus to have them all together, thank you very much. And to Shaunnick for introducing me to “if Game of Thrones was on Facebook.” Some of those had me laughing so hard I was crying. My daughter, who doesn’t watch, is sick of me showing her all of my favorites, but even she thought some were hysterical.

Random thoughts on The Climb:

* How fun was Olenna’s poking at Tywin about possible youthful buggery? “Never!” “Not even once?” His complete righteous rigidity reminds me oh-so-much of my own father. Charles Dance owns this character and deserves an Emmy.

* Beautiful shot with Ygritte being able to see her world (which was on her bucket list) and be completely overwhelmed by its beauty and then juxtaposed with that scene Jon was able to show Ygritte *his* world which is also amazing – and looks to be much warmer. Is the fact that the view where they shared a kiss in front of everyone was on the South side foreshadowing?

* I thought the look at the top of the wall from Orell? (the wild-eyed red-haried wilding who cut them loose) was self-defense wariness. He was worried Jon might come after him for cutting Jon and Ygritte loose.

* Makes total sense that Joffrey’s first real kill would be a prostitute. How many times have we seen this with serial killers – they go after those who are defenseless and vulnerable and society doesn’t care about.

* I’m not loving the path that Arya’s road taking. The way she’s going – and Melisandre seems to predict – she will be just as violent and revenge-motivated as The Hound. I understand the path but was hoping for better for her. And is it wrong for me to want to see J’Haqen again?

So happy to join the crowd, thanks for all of your insight over the past few years. I’m (obviously) not a book reader so trying to avoid the thread where the tv and books collide, but I’m guessing once this season ends I’ll be headed to the bookstore. As it is, Sunday is going to seem very far off given that I’ve been doing about an episode every other day up until now.

Speaking of, I know someone asked for it the other day. It looks like they have finally posted this episode's.

One line of dialogue really caught my ear. Loras was talking about fashion with Sansa and said something had a "French cuff". When did France come into this world?

Thought that had been discussed here, but turns out it was in the spoiler thread.

It's not French, it's Fringe. Fringe Cuffs.

"The common language" as opposed to High Valerian.

Should we English Speakers be insulted?

In the grand scheme of the material it is covering, it is. Trust me when I say I have confidence it will be worth it, and not just in the overall length of the series. I think it is safe to say that the producers will give us some good payoffs on somethings that we have seen in this season.

Perhaps, but part of the reason I liked the previous 2 seasons is how rapidly they progressed

It is covering only half of a book this time, so that is not surprising.
