That thing in the window looked trashy. It looked tired, they changed the color of the leather to beige, and changed the proportions of the ribbon trim that Nina (?) specifically said she loved. Even the chartreuse looked anemic.
It looked like a pieced together Barbie dress made by someone's unskilled mother.

The leather still has a grey hue to it. But it does look cheap and trashy.

Any chance of a photo? Not that I don't believe, but just curious. I wonder what the designer thinks...

The Art of Fashion OAD 3/8/13

Don't know about everybody else, but there are only two designers I'm even remotely interested in seeing at Fashion Week -- Stanley and Michelle.

The other three can just go home.

Layana is a crybaby and a whiner.

Patricia is a one-trick pony.

Daniel's designs are mostly boring. So tired of the ridiculous shoulder treatments on the jackets.

I'm so tired of Daniel's passive-aggressiveness. But I'd rather he stay around longer than the whiner Layana.

Stanley is much more conservative than Michelle (who takes bigger risks). But bigger risks means a great chance of winning, but also a strong chance of a major miss. My money's on her to win it all.

I was really hoping that Heidi and Nina were going to take Layana down when she came back on the runway.

The entire - it's not yours it's OURS I am betrayed
- was ridiculous...

Michelle is the only one I would want to see a collection from.

The others including Stanley have such a self importance arrogance with nothing to back it up.

Looking at it online it seems more inspired by than a copy of the actual design.

I hope it comes down to Michelle, daniel and Stanley. And that Michelle wins.

Finally on my Own! OAD 4/4/2013

What maggot got into Michelle's brain this week? She's always wanting to do some crazy vest or jacket or whatever, and the one week where it would actually be to her advantage to do whatever the hell she wanted to, she decides to go all minimalist? WTF?

Patricia, too -- she had a blank check to go all-out and her dress, for her, was pedestrian.

I think they were right to give Stanley the win, but there was nothing particularly exciting about his look. I have more interesting designs in my pattern stash. However, I give him major props for doing three pieces -- for a photo shoot, that gives you more options.

My go-home vote: Daniel. OMG, stupid shoulders again.

I would have axed Patricia and the hideous Pocahontas dress.

Patricia and Daniel's outfits were just awful. Yes, Michelle didn't make the right clothes for the challenge, but at least what she made wasn't hideous! Hopefully the second chance will allow her to stay in it. She's the only one I'm really interested in seeing a collection from.

I just keep rolling my eyes that Patricia is still in this competition. For a season that is team oriented, I don't think there's been a week she's been able to communicate her ideas or collaborate effectively with anyone. Her designs live in her head.

Daniel knew he was on TV, right? He wore that unflattering outfit in Germany, which made him look fat and dumpy. I felt bad for him...and that pleather/vinyl jacket didn't do a thing for me...

From the previews...
Spoiler:
His mustache and hair get all wild and crazy while he's working on his collection! He usually is perfectly coiffed so that is quite a shock! I am looking forward to seeing what's up!

It's probably just the editing, but they make it look like Stanley's clothes aren't even close to being complete when he gets to fashion week...I don't believe it! I hope it's not true!

This.

Because I had three designers in the "would be glad to see them go" category.

They sure had a field day shooting "up skirt" shots of Layana in those short-shorts in Barcelona.

They looked more like Victoria Secrets frilly panties.

Regardless of her design skills, she is about the hawtest contestant I can recall.

I am fairly certain I had the same 3 but Layana in particular has been so ridiculous in her own self aggrandizement it was particularly fun to witness her being knocked down a peg.

Sometimes on So You Think You Can Dance, they tell dancers who don't make the Top 20 to come back in a few years. (The "We could take you now and you'll be in the Top 20, but we'd rather you came back in a few years in the Top 10." speech.)

Perhaps PR should have applied that rule in Layana's case. Bets on how long it will be, before we see her, or any of the other designers this season, on PR-All-Stars?

While I'm not a big fan of the all-stars genre (aren't there enough other good designers out there to fill a casting call?), I would be curious to see how many of these contestants would do without the burden of this "Teams" season gimmick (Layana included). Much like The Amazing Race's "Family Edition", I think this Project Runway - Teams was a huge flop.

Amen.
If I can feel the frustration merely from watching I can't imagine the frustration the contestants must be feeling.
I don't think we saw "the best" work from anyone.
Their one big shot on TV and saddled with a team every. single. time?
Ugh.

Well she was certainly hot but just like the girl they booted, she had no sewing skills and she was a one trick pony.

And Heidi has carried another one trick pony, Patrica, all season. I get it, she does "arts and crafts." I get it, she does "arts and crafts". I get it, I get it.
Had this last show been fair and impartial, they would have bounced both the young hot one and Patricia.

Agreed. I almost get the "affirmative action" vibe for the way they're treating Patrica.

Welcome back, Michael Kors. You made the finale much more enjoyable. Best line of the night: that ring looks like an appetite suppressor to keep you from bringing your hand to your mouth.

I was amazed Stanley was so unorganized and down to the wire and was impressed Michele was helping him. Richard as his "helper" certainly hurt him.

I'm glad they got over Patricia's arts & crafts and named Michele the winner as I think she deserved it.

There was no doubt on who would win that final after Stanley imploded. And a worthy winner Michele was too. Congrats!

And this final episode just proved on thing. Project Runway should NEVER have another season without Michael Kors.

I agree - I was kinda happy to see Stanley self implode - he's another self aggrandizing dude who couldn't back it up.

I thought Michele was the clear winner.

But Michele - that hat. No. It hurts my eyes.

and

I LOVE Tim Gunn!

It was fun to have Michael Kors back. I'm glad we had him for the runway.

I was happy to see Patricia put on a nice show, with designs that were more refined than the work she was able to show earlier this season.

You guys do realize that since she didn't win, that makes her a prime candidate to come back for a future season of All-Stars? So I doubt you've seen the last of her.

I was happy that Michelle won; I've been rooting for her for the past several weeks. I was highly amused that Tim Gunn suggested that she should bounce the bleeding-heart sweater, but Michelle left it in, only to have Nina ooh and aah over it.

I was unhappy to see the yellow quilted jacket get aufed before the runway show.

So much fun to see a designer whose design aesthetic I really like; so sad that her color sense and the lines of things are stuff I could never wear. Oh, well, it's better for my wallet that way. But if you want to follow what she's up to, check out her FB pages.

Stanley imploding: I did not see that coming. But oh, boy, can you imagine the horrendo stuff we might have seen, if Daniel had been able to show his stuff on the runway instead?

And hoo boy, the ads/teasers for next week's reunion show? [spoiler]Did they find the bitchiest of the bitchiest clips to show, or what.[/spoilers]

P.S. My WL for Tim Gunn picked up his guest host shot on The View on Friday just past. He reports that PR is in the middle of auditions right now.
