The Middle Season 4 *spoilers to date*

Pardon me for doing a whole season thread, since there don't seem to be too many threads for this show.

The actor that plays Brick sure has grown up. And I was really sad (but not in a sad for him way, not that they wrote this in) that they seem to be ramping up his ticks to OCD level.

I'm also hoping we're done with Chris Kattan. I have never liked him.

Anyone else watching?

Yes, I love the show. I am from Indiana and I am a middle child (like Sue) so I love her! I agree with you, I don't like where they are taking Brick's quirks, but I do like that the family supports him (like at the football game with the "Whoop!s")
I LOLed at Axl thinking he was dating the 2 cheerleaders, then just "going for it" and picking one..."I have a 60/40 chance" ... Poor Axl...
I am glad Frankie is out of the car dealership, it was time to take her in a new direction.

Heh. Yeah.

This is a great show. I don't like it as much as Modern Family, but just about.

I like it because I can safely watch it with my kid and we both laugh.

Still loving it. And I hope they keep Sue being successful as the mascot - poor kid needs a break.

I thought the scene where she was being fired was kind of ironic considering in reality it was Brian Doyle-Murray that was essentially being fired.

One could say the same about Chris Kattan.

I can say this because he is well into adulthood, but the actor that plays Charlie McDermott was particularly handsome in this episode.

That is all.

Isn't Charlie McDermott the actor that plays Axl?

I had to google Charlie McDermott because I couldn't recall the character - then I saw it was Axl. I saw a video clip - and the actor seemed to be exactly like the character.

Saw some other videos - the girl that plays Sue is really pretty - she does a great job of looking dorky.

I've been talking up this show for years. To me, it's one of the most underrated shows on TV. It reminds me more of my family than any other show on TV (Not sure if that's a good thing or not!! LOL) and I always tease my daughter that she's Sue Heck.

Anyway, I knew that eventually Axl would wind up with the tutor, and she really is one of those beauties that they try to make "look" plain by putting oversized glasses on her.

Due to the other thread about liking TV shows on Facebook - I liked The Middle just now...

One of the comments was this:

Quote:
I love this show! But what is up with that random voice over commenting on random thing.... such as "Franky opens the door", "Sue smiles" and so on. Does anyone else find it completely distracting?
What are they talking about? I've never noticed anything like that.

Never noticed it either. I do wonder if the voice overs are even needed for this show, but I do find them entertaining.

There has been tons of anecdotal reports of the AD defaulting to "on" in some affiliates - it's always the ABC shows, though. I've not seen anyone report them erroneously coming over on NBC or FOX shows.

I thought it was a good episode. I enjoyed how they spotlighted how different the kids were. I loved the opening scene where they couldn't decide where to go eat. My family goes through this just about every weekend. And you know what? Often our result is the same, we end up staying home.

I just love the actor who plays Brick. He's absolutely wonderful in this role.

So is the gal who plays Sue.
