3D Olympics Cablevision

Can somebody confirm that I won't need a tuning adapter to watch 3D Olympics with a Cablevision cablecard? I thought I would have to pick up a tuning adapter for it but I'm noticing today that I have a picture on the 3D channel, which is 1300. It's just an ad but a real picture nevertheless. It would be great if I didn't need the tuning adapter because I disconnected the one I had and returned it a long time ago because it was giving me a lot of problems.

In case anyone is wondering, you do not need the tuning adapter to get Cablevision 3D Olympics on channel 1300.

I believe it depends on where you're located. In Morris County, NJ you do need a TA in order to view the 3D broadcasts.

I read an article and thought it would be useful to you.

"Cablevision will now require its NJ customers to get a cable box if they want access to the iO TV service. Currently, the monthly rental fee for a cable box and remote is $6.95, but Cablevision will now offer the equipment for free for one or two years for TVs without boxes. According to APP.com, this transistion period, which already took place in NY and Connecticut, will last through early October for NJ residents. Up until this point, Cablevision had offered customers without a box some channels and basic television."
