I realize that, but I was really responding to your note. People should know that the VHS->DVD (or VD->DVD) doesn't work without a sub (which it really should do).

Resurrected my Humax last week. Ordered a new HD from Weakness and it booted up fine!

We needed a back-up DVD recorder for work, and it needed to be Standard Def, so it worked out. The hardest part was finding a working analog land line since all the offices are now IP phones, and getting on the internet would have been and endless exercise in IT. After redoing guided setup on the line I found, I found a working line in the room we need to use it in, so I just need to make a long phone cord and I'm set!
