I'm recording this season but haven't started watching yet, but I know I'll be enjoying it when I do. This is the only show, besides Hell on Wheels, that I have to use closed captioning for. I think Mads Mikelson is amazing but I just can't understand anything he says.

I really like the Hannibal character and the actor but I couldn't stand to watch any more of the Will Graham character so I gave up on it half way through the first season. Maybe I should give this season a look...

This is one of those shows that, primarily due to my tinnitus, I have to watch with headphones. It makes it a thousand times easier to not miss any dialogue AND to be able to zero in with accents or mumbly-talkers.

Do you have any suggestions on headphones? I'm about 10-15 feet from the TV. Are there wireless options? I turn up the volume but it only seems to further distort what I am trying to hear.

I have some Sennheiser RS120 wireless headphones that I like a lot.

When I am watching something on Netflix I like to do so through my Roku3 and use the earbuds that plug into the Roku3 remote. Great sound with those, too.

I think the gore is perfectly used in Hannibal. It’s not gratuitous gore for gore’s-sake like some torture-porn; it’s scary and disturbing, and a little goes a long way in the context of the story. Watching Hannibal prepare a meal is bone chilling, but without the context of where the meat came from, it might as well be some gourmet cooking show.

I was starting to get a little frustrated with Hannibal’s infallibility at the end of last season, so the season opening scene was a nice assurance/reminder that Hannibal can’t fool everyone forever.

I also have Sennheiser wireless headphones that I like (RS120), and find it much easier to follow the show with headphones on.

Still not having seen anything besides "Silence of the Lambs" and the original TV movie (Manhunter?)... I don't know how long they can go on and not catch Hannibal.. The show would seemingly be over then???
